Steerpike were a band of small but relative merit in Norwich in the early 1990's, The band came into existence in 1992 gigged in the area and London, produced several demos and appeared performing 'Acrobatic Man'on 'Backwater One' a 12 inch single featuring 4 bands. Ivy, Spellbound and The Lemongrowers on Noisebox Records, This resulted in radio plays on both the evening session with Mark Goodier and the late great John Peel show.

The band also contributed 'Hysteria' to 'Now that's what I call Noisebox' a compilation album, and had interest from several record labels, none of whom pursued it too hard.
