The Tower

The Tower were originally Fyl Newington, Neil Timbers & limbo. Ian Fox joined later and then Dean Burnett after the departure of Ian and limbo. They formed in 1985, regularly appearing at Swifts (St Stephens) and then on to music pubs of the era and a regular slot at Hy's in the city

As a locally successful keyboard combo, they went onto some minor fame in London with their mixture of Depeche Mode meets Soft Cell meets Ultravox. Indie number one '7 Years' (1987) was the local high point.

The Tower reformed into Redshift producing a vanity CD single and album in 1995

Thanks to Fyl / limbo for the info
