Horace Goes Skiing were a group of five best friends who grew up playing and recording music together in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The band rose from the ashes of various high school bands including April Fish and Solitary Brothers from around 1991. Originally a four piece with Wooden on guitar, the line-up changed in 1993 when Wooden left for University a year before the rest of us and Duncan's brother Matthew, joined from The X-Men Crue. Several years later Wooden re-joined the band as keyboard player.

The band played to audiences in London, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield, Middlesborough, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and many other small UK towns. There was also a brief tour in the US playing a number of shows in New Jersey. The band made a documentary about the Tour: available on YouTube

There have been two releases, both on Popkid Records:

A few songs have also been selected for compilations. One of the bands biggest accolades was the late John Peel playing a few tracks on his BBC Radio1 Show in 2002 and their album yeah right sure being selected as one of his favourite albums that month.
